  1. Beef Quality Assurance Certification

    Ohio State University Extension is working in cooperation with the Ohio Beef Council, the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association and Ohio’s cattle auction markets and collection points to offer Ohio’s cattlemen several opportunities to become Beef Quality Assurance Certified.

    If interested in attending BQA training and gaining BQA certification, register below. Our next training in Athens County is on April 25, 2019 at the Extension Office, 280 W. Union St., Athens, OH  45701. The program will begin at 6 PM. There is no cost.

  2. Vegetables on Trial

    Vegetables are on trial in Southeast Ohio. Residents are being invited to join with the Ohio State University Extension in putting vegetables to the test in their home gardens. Growers will choose between five different vegetables to grow in their gardens. Each vegetable will have 2 varieties to grow side by side. They will make observations on how well the plants grew be asked to give feedback on the quality and taste of each. The results will be compiled and published for others trying to decide which varieties they might want to try.
